Place your vote to help us establish an Indigenous Flora and Fauna Community Education Centre!

Tatachilla Lutheran College is seeking your support to help raise funds for the upgrade of the EcoClassroom. As part of the Fund My Neighbourhood campaign, the College has applied for $148,000 to establish an Indigenous Flora and Fauna Community Outdoor Education Centre.

McLaren Vale was once abundant with native flora and fauna, which was cleared upon European settlement. This application supports previous projects and unites children and the wider community to plant local flora species, assisting with the rehabilitation of the land. The project aims to allow continued revegetation of flora species, creating safe habitats for migratory and resident fauna, including the critically endangered Brush-tailed Bettong. Local community, government and non-government organisations regularly use the site as a place of experiential and environmental learning. The project strengthens the positive cultural link between the EcoClassroom and the local Kaurna community.
