Join us for a day of discovery
Wednesday 25 October 2023
1.30pm - 5.00pm
Students currently in Year 5 and Year 6 and who are not already enrolled to attend Tatachilla Lutheran College are warmly invited to spend an afternoon at our school and discover what’s on offer in Year 7 and the opportunities that await them in secondary school.
Participants will be given the opportunity to:
- complete a physical education class with senior students from Tatachilla’s Advanced Athlete Academy who are competing at a district, state or national level
- explore botanical plants and transform these into an oil pastel monoprint
- use hand tools and wood-working machines to produce a timber phone stand
- acquire new skills in agricultural science through succulent propagation, worm farm mixing, egg candling, seed planting and the use of iFarm technology
- tour the college’s award-winning EcoClassroom Sanctuary - home to our our resident population of native bettongs, potoroos and wallabies - and learn about our re-wilding programs.
Parents are welcome to join students at the end of the day to meet key staff and enjoy a communal barbecue.
Bookings are essential and places are limited.
[Please note that students who are already enrolled to attend Tatachilla Lutheran College in Year 7 will be invited to attend their own transition day in due course, which includes a similar program of exciting learning experiences across our broad curriculum].
