How to become a Tatachilla Volunteer

Volunteers Training Program

The College appreciates and values the volunteer support of parents. Through your support, you allow our community to thrive and be enriched by connecting our students and staff more widely than just the walls of the College.

The Volunteer Training Program is a 3 step process which involves the following:

  1. Completion of the Volunteer Registration Form and return it to volunteers@tatachilla.sa.edu.au along with a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

  2. WWCC (Working With Children Check)
Applicants must submit their full name, date of birth and a valid email address to volunteers@tatachilla.sa.edu.au. Once received, an email will be sent to the applicant for completion.

WWCC have replaced the previous DCSI Child-Related Check. Working With Children Checks can only be completed online and will be organised on your behalf at no cost to the applicant. Clearances are valid for 5 years.

  1. Online Training Course
The applicant is to complete an Online Training Module (approx 45mins). An instruction pamphlet, including a link and password key will be sent via email to the applicant on receipt of the Volunteers Registration Form.

Once completed, the applicant will receive a Certificate of Completion. A copy of this certificate is to be presented to the College.

Steps 1-3 can be completed at any time. However, applicants will not be able to volunteer until all three steps, including the Working With Children Check have been approved.
