Join us for our Twilight Food Affair!
We are excited to announce the return of the Twilight Food Affair in 2023!
Tatachilla Lutheran College will come alive on Friday 24 March with its biggest event in the College calendar.
The Twilight Food Affair is a magical night of family fun in the heart of vineyard country. The event is an ideal opportunity to sample the best of the Fleurieu's local food and wine in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
This year there will be eight different carnival rides, sideshow entertainment and a nine-minute fireworks display for the kids.
Guests will also be treated to an exclusive sneak peak of our upcoming College musical, 'Big Fish'.
The whole community is invited to attend this special evening on the Junior School oval and help us celebrate the best of Tatachilla and the region.
The event will run from 4:30pm to 9:00pm and families are asked to bring a gold coin for parking on site.
Read our event media release, see us in CityMag and follow the Twilight Food Affair on Facebook.
The College thanks all local food vendors who registered an interest in participating in this year's Twilight Food Affair and can confirm that all of our sites are now fully allocated. Food vendors who are interested in participating at next year's event are invited to complete a registration of interest form and submit this to Kay Digby at kay.digby@tatachilla.sa.edu.au.
How do I get there?
The Twilight Food Affair 2023 is being held on the Junior School oval, adjacent to the gymnasium. The oval will be divided up into several areas featuring food trucks and food stalls, a pop-up wine and beer bar, sideshow entertainment, amusement rides, an area for our corporate sponsors and a main stage. The venue is fully accessible to those who use wheelchairs, walking aids and who are accompanied by prams. Please see our Twilight Food Affair site map for more information.
Where do I park?
Families are encouraged to use the main entrance to Tatachilla Lutheran College on Tatachilla Road. There is ample parking available on site for a gold coin donation. Please see our Twilight Food Affair carparking map for more information. Disabled parking is available in car park 3 (immediately adjacent to the gymnasium, which also houses disabled toilets). Limited parking is also available on California Road, noting that the gates to the Junior School car park will be closed during Twilight.
What do I bring?
Guests are invited to bring along a picnic rug (though some seating will be provided), a water bottle and something warm to wear if the evening gets cool. Families are also encouraged to bring a gold coin for parking and some cash to spend at stalls that may not have card facilities. There will be no cash withdrawal facility at the event. The College requests that all visitors refrain from bringing their own alcohol or glassware to the event, in keeping with the strict conditions of the College’s liquor licence.
What else do I need to know?
- St Johns First Aid will be set up in the gymnasium foyer for anyone who requires medical attention throughout the evening (see our Twilight Food Affair site map).
- Dogs are not permitted on campus during Twilight.
- Water bottles will be able to be filled up at the drink fountains on site.
- We ask that all guests dispose of waste responsibly by using the appropriate bins provided at the event.
- In the event of prohibitive weather conditions, event updates will be posted on the College’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
