Middle School STEM Centre

Tatachilla is committed to providing the best possible STEM education.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.  They are the subjects that have been identified as being critical for Australia’s future workforce, with high demand forecast for STEM graduates.

The Tatachilla difference is that STEM is a “lived experience”.

For younger students, it starts with developing a love for STEM and bringing it to life with excitement and interactive teaching.

In Years 7 and 8, students enter a dedicated STEM learning space. This $1.2 million facility includes a purpose-built workshop and an enclosed technology hub with some of the latest technology to be used in education. In these years, the focus is on integrating the theoretical and practical elements of STEM.

Progression through the upper secondary years sees another change in focus. Students are encouraged to pursue their own interests. They experience “deep learning” that will allow them to consider future pathways for STEM occupations.
