General Information

Enrolment Process

As of 2013 Tatachilla will have three main intakes for admission :

  • Reception (an intake of 44) 
  • Year 7 (an intake of 56)
  • Year 8 (an intake of 28)
  • A smaller intake into Year 10 is also available for families wishing to enter into Senior School


Places may become available in other year levels from time to time.

Tatachilla has an inclusive enrolment policy therefore all applications are welcome.

Once a student is accepted after the interview process parents/legal guardians will be requested to remit a deposit of $450 for all year levels confirming their enrolment intent.
This fee comprises of a non refundable $150 Confirmation / Administration Fee and a $300 deposit which will be credited towards your child's commencement year's fee.
The $300 deposit is non-refundable after the 30th June prior to the year of commencement.


The process for lodging applications, offering places of admission and the admission of students with special needs are addressed in our Prospectus Package that can be ordered through our Enrolments Registrar.

Reception Intake

There is only one intake per year – that being in Term 1. At this intake 44 students are accepted. A child must have turned 5 years before the 30th April to be eligible to be accepted onto the waitlist of that year’s intake.

Interviews take place in the March prior to the relevant intake year. Once a child and his/her parents/caregivers have attended an interview they will be advised in writing that they have gained a place in the next year’s intake.

All documentation must be completed, signed and returned along with the above stated $450 payment  to secure your child's place. The $300 deposit is non-refundable after the 30th June prior to the year of commencement.

Year 7 Intake

In 2013 Tatachilla introduced an intake of 56 new students into Year 7, the entry level of Middle School.

This move is in response to the introduction of the  Australian Curriculum, which places Year 7 more clearly in a Secondary School Model.

Interviews take place approximately 18 months prior to the year of intake. Once a student has been offered a place into the relevant Year 7 intake they will be notified in writing. All documentation must be completed, signed and returned along with the above stated $450 payment  to secure your child's place. The $300 deposit is non-refundable after the 30th June prior to the year of commencement.

Year 8 Intake

This intake will be limited to 28 avaliable positions into Tatachilla’s Middle School.

Interviews take place approximately 18 months prior to the year of intake. Once a student has been offered a place into the relevant Year 8 intake they will be notified in writing. All documentation must be completed, signed and returned along with the above stated $450 payment  securing your childs place The $300 deposit  is non-refundable after the 30th June prior to the year of commencement.

Other Year Level Intakes

Other vacancies may arise in different year levels from time to time. In these cases our waiting list is referred to and families are contacted according to our Enrolment Policy
