The emergence into adulthood is an exciting time. Students’ choices take them down many different pathways. It is our aim in the Senior School to provide students with a rich and supportive environment which supplies them with the means to realise their individual aspirations.
The Senior School at Tatachilla encompasses Years 10 to 12. As they move through these years, students elect one of three pathways. The University Entry pathway is our most popular and is supported by over twenty-five Year 12 subjects, including the full range of necessary Mathematics and Science subjects. A significant number of students choose a Vocational Education and Training pathway, completing all or part of Certificate level studies or a School Based Apprenticeship. Other students choose a general TAFE preparation pathway. Our specialist Pathways Coordinator is one of a team of people assisting our students determine their educational needs at school and beyond.
We support students’ academic studies with a wide range of sporting, cultural, leadership and service opportunities, believing that participation in these is conducive to growth as a person through these critical years. Pastoral care of students is a priority.
