An independent, coeducational Lutheran school in the heart of McLaren Vale on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia. Reception to Year 12.
The construction of the new purpose-built Early Learning Centre is supported by a Flying Start Infrastructure Grant from the South Australian Government, for which the college is very grateful.
The Tatachilla ELC will welcome children from three to four years of age and will expand Tatachilla’s vision of providing a connected, relational learning journey for families across the Fleurieu Peninsula.
The centre will initially cater for 60 children before increasing capacity over time. It will operate 48 weeks of the year and offer long-day care from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
The Early Learning Centre will be located on the Tatachilla campus and will feature strong links to the college’s unique EcoSanctuary and nature-based learning environments.
Aligned to Australia’s Early Years Learning Framework, the centre will focus on play-based learning that supports identity, connection, wellbeing, confidence and communication.
Construction is expected to commence in the coming months, with the Early Learning Centre anticipated to open in 2027.
Further updates regarding enrolments, leadership appointments and naming of the centre will be shared as the project progresses.
Families seeking an early learning environment for their child are strongly encouraged to lodge an Expression of Interest below.

Tatachilla Lutheran College is built on Kaurna Country. We acknowledge the Kaurna peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and learn. We respect and support their spiritual relationship with Country and connection to their land, waters and community. We seek to celebrate the traditions, memories, histories and contributions of all First Nations peoples and ensure that every child at Tatachilla learns and respects the spiritual and ancestral history of our country.
